For the first week in December, we will continue to practice naming ionic compounds. This week's quiz will require you to know your polyatomic ions from memory. Remember to practice writing out and reviewing your polyatomic ions via your flashcards.
This week we will also learn to name covalent compounds, and introduce chemical bonding.
The water filtration lab will be further developed. Our goal for this experiment is to develop a method that can be used to test to see if ions are present. If ions are present, then you can conlcude that your column has not filtered the salts out of your filtered water. At the end of the week or even next week, I will measure a spectrograph
